Note me
After a long photo trip through Chile and Argentina, I'm back with new photos to share!
We had a great time and even though the weather wasn't always as we hoped for, we still were able to experience amazing nature, get to know great people and we had a great time.
I will be adding 2 photos a day, which will be "the best of the best." If you want to see the "wide pick" collection, you may do so on my Picasa albums: picasaweb.google.com/vikisek
PART 1 - ARAUKANÍA
We started our trip in Araukanía, a land of lakes, forests and volcanoes. The landscape was amazing - lush forests, rainforests full of life, volcanic fields filled with flowers, amazing waterfalls ... perfect. The character of the nature there was so different from what I've seen in Europe so far and I was amazed at how everything seems so untouched by people.
PART 2 - PATAGONIA
After few days in Araukanía, we traveled south to Patagonia. We were greeted by a typical weather - stormy clouds and high winds. This weather lasted for almost the entire trip, and unfortunately, it also prevented us from seeing some wonders of this place - we didn't see Fitzroy at all, and we waited for the famous sunrise on the three towers in Torres del Paine in vain... But still, the experience was amazing and I hope to one day come back there to enjoy the pristine nature some more.
PART 3 - EASTER ISLAND
To finish the trip on a high note, we went to easter island for a few days, to enjoy the tropics before heading back to winter in Europe and to see one of the greatest mysteries - the moai statues. We were welcomed by a cheerful people, great stormy weather and amazing landscapes... Easter Island is an amazing little island, and I hope to see it once more some time...
