Taken after a beautiful day on Easter island. During the day, there were some short showers and clouds flying over our heads for the whole day, but as the sunset was getting closer, the clouds started to break and by the time the sun set, they lit up into one of the most amazing shows of colour I've seen. With some of the ancient moai statues, that have become a part of the landscape, it was really and evening to remember. Taken using the tiny plastic EF 35mm f/2, with polarizer on, and 2 Sigh-ray filters - 3-stop hard edge graduated ND and a 3-stop reverse graduated ND.
I'm sure you enjoyed Easter Island, I was there 11 years ago (OMG has it been that long?!) and loved every minute. So far off the beaten path I felt as an explorer as much as a tourist. Gorgeous photos, the lot!
Such a magic place my friend!!! You're fortunate for such a glimpse of the eye!!!! Also, a lovely photo, would like to more of this place, like some night photography with the milky way... 5*
Unfortunately, we got just one clear night on our 4 day stay, and I kind of screwed up, because after getting that shot of milky way with statue, the battery died in the camera and the spare one I took with me that night was not charged much as well and lasted just two long exposure shots ... Guess I had to learn to take better care of my batteries the hard way
